What if I guaranteed that you would make at least an additional $1000 per month in under 5 minutes simply by having your own newsletter without having to write it?
Here’s an example of how this works:
Suppose a client, let’s call him Roger, comes in November of 2004 and wants to get a will drafted. Great! You draft his will, take your fees and tell him that it was great working with him and if he ever needs anything in the future to let you know.
That’s what almost all lawyers do and that’s why they miss out on a lot of money.
Let’s say that Roger then gets married to a girl from Argentina in 2006, receives a traffic ticket that same year, buys a house in 2007 and has a kid in 2008. Pretty normal life, right?
Also, a lot of opportunity that YOU missed out on!
- Who did his wife’s immigration?
- Who represented him in municipal court?
- Who did his real estate closing?
- Who amended his will after he got married, bought the house and had the child?
Maybe, just MAYBE, he called you to update the will (if he remembered your name).
But what if you kept in touch with him at least once a month. And every month you gave him tons of useful information. What if your newsletter mentioned something about buying a house or about marrying someone from outside the US? What if you sent him an article on raising children or health issues that affect newborns? Do you think that he may have called you for more than just his will? What if you sent him information on how often someone should update their will?
See, anyone can work with a lawyer ONCE
But how many attorneys do you know that keep in touch with their clients every week, every month or even every six months?
Practically none! And guess what, when Roger needs an attorney for anything you’ll be the ONLY name that comes to mind. Imagine how much business that can mean for you over the lifetime of your career that you might otherwise miss out on?
One of the best ways to keep in touch with your clients is in the form of a newsletter. Proper follow-up and remaining in front of the client (or potential client) is of the utmost importance.
So why don’t all lawyers already send out a newsletter?
- Because they don’t realize the importance of keeping in touch with their past clients and future prospects;
- They just don’t have the time; or
- They’re just lazy.
You already know how important keeping in touch with your clients and I’ll assume that since you’re looking to grow your business you’re not lazy. So that brings us to the issue of time.
I understand how cumbersome it can be to put together a monthly newsletter that appeals to all your clients. I also understand how hard it is to get it out consistently EVERY month.
I’m going to make this as easy for you as possible!
What we do for our attorney clients is put together a unique newsletter every month that our clients can send out to their own clients EVERY MONTH. It doesn’t matter if you have 5 clients or 5000 clients. This allows you to stay in contact with them at least 12 times a year without having to any of the work.
Every month you will receive a CD containing a fully-composed copy of your newsletter in Word format (along with instructions) at least 7 days before the end of the month (to be sent out as the following month’s issue). All you do is pop in your picture and add your contact information. You have the option of adding an “Editor’s Note but even that’s optional/
Now, even though it is optional I DO recommend that you write a small “Editor’s Note” to add a touch of your own personality (clients love to know the personal side of their lawyers).
The only thing you need to decide is whether you want to e-mail or physically mail* your newsletter to your clients.
*I’ve worked out an a deal with my printer to offer you an incredible rate on printing if you decide that you prefer to send out a physical copy of your newsletter. When you sign up along with each CD you’ll receive the printing rates and who to contact.
What do I get?
Every month you get a done-for-you newsletter to mail to your clients & prospects.
How do I use the newsletter?
Add your picture & your contact information then mail it out. That’s it!
How much is the newsletter going to cost me?
It’s $97/month.
But maybe your still wondering if having a newsletter is actually worth it?
What if I told you that it will pay for itself?
IN FACT, What if I guaranteed that it paid for itself and put extra money in your pocket?
Let’s say you handle traffic violations and write simple wills with an average client ticket of only $500 (great if you charge more but I’m giving you worst-case scenario). Now you start getting out a newsletter every month where your clients and prospects begin to discover the following:
- Hey, I got a traffic ticket and the lawyer who did my will handles that as well. Great!
- I didn’t know she handled wills AND traffic violations. Let me call her.
- I didn’t know I had to update my will after I got married (or bought a house, or had a child, etc.). Glad that I read that in his newsletter.
- 4) I loved that article on life insurance. Maybe it’s time that I got a will written.
Worst-case scenario let’s assume ONLY two clients or prospect per month says any of those things. That’s STILL an additional $12,000/year. Not bad for sending out a newsletter once a month.
You need to ask yourself:
- Do I have the time to spend time every month researching useful and practical information that will apply to the majority of my clients?
- Will I be 100% consistent about sending out a newsletter EVERY MONTH on the same date (clients need consistency)?
- Are clients going to be ready to buy immediately or might they need my services sometime in the future?
- Can I afford NOT to be in touch with my clients?
So what’s my guarantee to you?
I guarantee that within 3-months of SENDING OUT my done-for-you newsletter you’ll be generating at least an extra $1000 per month (if you don’t send it out to your clients or prospects then any guarantees are off the table). If you are not seeing at least this return on your investment call me up, tell me it’s not working and I’ll refund the past 3-months of your investment.
BOTTOM LINE
Make sure that when when your past clients and prospects need a lawyer YOU are the one they call!
Just click on the “Sign Me Up” to get started.
P.S. Do you realize that you will be appearing in front of every one of your clients and prospects AT LEAST 12 times per year? This makes it hard, if not impossible, for them to forget you.
An attorney that they cannot forget is the one they hire, hire again and refer to friends and family.
That attorney should be you!
